I just cant fathom these people that think the Browns are winning 9 games this year. I need this explained to me. There’s no chance they don’t win 10 or more without injuries.
What they’ve done in the past has literally nothing to do with this season. 11-5 and I wouldnt be shocked by 12.
Arguments one could make (not necessarily that I agree with):
Rookie head coach, new OC, new DC. Coaching matters a lot in the NFL.
A degraded offensive line. You win in the trenches. With both LT and RG being currently below NFL-starter level, that's a gamble. If Baker is getting pressure both up the middle and off the edge, that's a recipe to ruin a young QB. Without that stout interior, does Chubb still put up numbers?
Free agency and big splashy signing rarely work out in the NFL. I know OBJ was a trade, but did the Browns give up too much? Zeitler and Peppers were both very, very good players. Do we really think Sheldon Richardson is going to be their answer, and where's the depth behind him? Where are the quality players at LB and Safety?
Personal take: The potential is there, but if you're penciling the Browns in for 12 wins already, you're ignoring a lot of the flaws in this roster (specifically the OL).
