Ohio States Pro Day results:
*AJ Hawk ran a 4.49 and a 4.42 in the 40. Those are absolutely ridiculous times. He's just blowing away the scouts. I would trade almost any player on our team to be able to draft AJ.
*Bobby Carpenter is only 90 percent healthy, according to trainers, but he ran the 40 in 4.66 and 4.68, the short shuttle in 4.31 and the three-cone drill in 6.88. He also did 20 strength reps. Carpenter looked very good in his position drills. Those are pretty good speed numbers for a guy who broke his ankle a few months ago. I'm sure Bobby can run faster, but i'm a little displeased with his bench reps. I thought he was stronger than that. But maybe that can drop Bobby enough to the second rd when we pick.
*Santonio Holmes was timed at 4.34 and 4.36 in the 40. I'm pretty sure he just solidified himself as the best WR in this class. Chad Jackson was putting up impressive numbers (4.32), but Santonio almost duplicated them.
*Donte Whitner was clocked at 4.39 and 4.37 in the 40.
*Ashton Youboty ran the 40 in 4.43 and 4.45, 4.18 in the short shuttle and 6.96 in the three-cone drill. He also had a 36-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot long jump and did 11 lifts.
