Ohio State suspensions accelerate blue-chipper's path to QB job

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Roderick Smith, Jamaal Berry and Jordan Hall are going to be running the hell out of the ball the first few games.

And I wouldn't bet on the suspensions staying at 5 games.

Agreed on both fronts. I would bet they get lowered to 3 or 4 games after the appeals. Smith seems to be the front runner for the majority of the carries, but Berry was so highly recruited I would still love to see him get some run. Also don't forget about Carlos Hyde, another redshirt soph. RB.

I heard a rumor today from someone who worked closely with OSU football that the suspensions were going to be reduced to 2 games. He said we should hear about it tomorrow.

Miller is undeniably a very good prospect and should have a good career at "The" Ohio State University, he will get an oppurtunity early on but Bauserman an Guiton will have as much of a chance, if not more , to make their argument as well. Pryor will sit out 3-4 games at best, Miller will get his chance he just needs to be ready to go.

Bauserman? You didn't just stick in his name right there, did you? You can't be serious? I read that and started laughing until my sides hurt. God help us if Bauserman sees any time when it really counts.

:chuckles:

Preferably...they will use Miller situationally to get him involved...if they don't decide to redshirt him all together to save the year.

I saw a story a few weeks back where Braxton said Tressel told him they will not be redshirting him.

And no, playing Bauserman is not a good idea. Ever. EVER. Okay?

You won't find me defending Joe B...but I do like Taylor Graham and Guiton and think both should see time.

We all know it will be Bauserman to start though.

What is gonna make Graham more viable to play than Miller? Guiton is all right, I'd take him a billion times over Bauserman.

Boy; I had forgot about some of these QB's. We use to have to try to get more. Now we seem to have too many bodies at that position.

Makes me wonder if any of them will request to get out of their scholarship to transfer.

Well, I'd imagine we'd be seeing a ton more I-Formation.

Graham seems like the most qualified under center guy, plus he's by all accounts a smart kid who won't turn the ball over which is exactly what they'd be looking for.

Mix in a bit of Miller in packages, mainly running the football....which will be fun to watch I'm sure.

what gives you that impression? All he's done at Ohio State is redshirt? Have you ever been to a practice to see him play? If he was any good, I don't think he would have come to OSU, considering he knows this will be Miller's job after Pryor.

Boy, this logic is just so bulletproof I'm not sure I even want to mess with is.

Seriously though, all accounts from the insiders on the Scout.com board are positive about Graham..."The coaches really like him" and "best pure passer on the team" have been mentioned with his name and I hold their opinion in pretty high regard given their history.

What history? You mean the history where Graham Schwartz was gonna be the second coming of Anthony Gonzalez? Or the history where NevadaBuck convinced everyone LeBron coming back to Cleveland was a done deal?

I'm glad that I now know that you choose your opinions about football based on what you hear on message boards. It makes me feel a lot more confident in my stances in our previous arguments.

So anyone without a 100 percent hit rate on information can't be trusted...ever again.

Got it.

His info has and will remain more than enough reason for the subscription.

Very good insider, and I doubt you'll find many sane people who disagree.

And quite frankly it's not the only source of info I use for Ohio State Athletics.

Either way, casting off Taylor Graham as no good because he chose to come to Ohio State in fear Braxton (a sophomore at the time of his committment) was "waiting in the wings" is about as moronic a comment as one has ever made on this board.

So congrats.

Shouldn't you be riding the dick of #2 anyway.....30-4 as a starter....He's approaching GOAT status in your eyes I'm sure.
