Some of my buddy's been playing at http://www.sportsbook.com/ for real money. But I thought online poker was banned recently last year.. wtf is up with that site. Legit or negative?

Online poker is not banned in the US.
Our government passed some bill or law that will not allow US banks and/or credit card sompanies to do business or exchange money for online poker.
I'm sure there are many loopholes and I'm not sure when or if it went into effect. All you have to do is just transfer some funds to an off shore account or something like that though. Basically the government said if we can't tax it and get some dough off this then you can't do it.
