Open Discussion (Cavs + related issues)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The way Love is shooting the 3 right now, we can park him on the 3 pt line. He has been awesome and his adjusted shot is money in the bank. He has only been off the first 2 games back from concussion and he has been rebounding like crazy. Health is his only obstacle. I seriously think he has made a mental breakthrough with his anxiety.
I bet Love takes the most footsteps per minute of game play. He seems to be everywhere. Behind the line, crashing the boards, setting picks. He always has his head in the game.

It’s not just Nance that is injury prone though. Who here can say they would put down money on Love playing for three months straight without missing games? What about George Hill who has missed a ton of time recently? Or Rodney Hood, who has practically been made of glass in his career? Then you have guys coming off of recent injuries like Tristan Thompson and Kyle Korver. If I’m the Cavs I’d be happy if most of this brittle core just gets through the playoffs unscathed. Anything else is just gravy.

At least we have a few rookies with potential to go to if that happens. (Cedi/Zizic) The depth has never been better, and I would argue we have the best depth in the league right now.

I don't disagree but another team that comes to mind when thinking of depth is the Toronto Raptors.

They seem to be able to deliver that message when they want to which makes me think they will roll on the East if healthy. Let the West beat the hell out of each other and pray that something breaks our way for the Finals.
Ya heavy on the "breaks" part

I agree, and understand the point you're making, but there's no Lebron James there either.

Probably going to end up with the same record as last year, when we had kyrie, and we had an extended period in which we were just awful

I think the easiest path to the finals would be is falling back to the four seed...

Indiana in the first round
Raptors in the second round
And probably Celtics in the last round...

its going to be the above or

Miami in the first round
Boston in the second round
and then Toronto or Philly in conference finals

finishing 3rd seed or 4th seed shouldn't change the final outcome. I believe we'll make it to the finals.

Well..well..looks like Kyrie is done for the rest of the season..

In the aftermath of left knee surgery, Boston Celtics All-Star guard Kyrie Irving will miss the rest of the regular season and playoffs, league sources told ESPN.

Wow that would have been devastating to lose Kyrie and not have Jordan or Nance or Hood or Hill. I wonder if they found out it was worse than they thought once they got in there.

Tough year for Boston. I'm not cryin though.

I don't feel sorry for any team with injuries.
I keep hearing certain talking heads on sports shows grumble about GS losing to the Cavs because of Drama Green being suspended..but they always fail to say anything about Love and that other "person" being out the year before.

He had the surgery a couple weeks ago so I doubt it was a case of they found it was worse when they got in there. I bet it just didn't fix the issue he was having. They just removed a wire that was placed inside the knee in 2015.

Also I don't think the IT situation from last season sit well with any player in the Celtic organization. I bet no one will come back from injury before they truely feel ready regardless of what their medical staff says.

Seems to validate his threat to have surgery and sit out the season.
Cavs won THIS season on the trade.
Think about both PG's that they had to trade..Thomas/Irving out due to surgery.
Done..
