Committee opted not to impose longer ban after weighing "overall seriousness of the case in light of other recent major infractions cases"
Gene Smith does need to be fired. I believed there wouldn't be a bowl ban because Gene would've implemented one this year to satisfy the NCAA. A miscalculation of that magnitude is unacceptable.
I'm surprised that people are surprised about this.
You're surprised that OSU became the first university in NCAA history to receive a bowl ban without a "Lack of Institutional Control" penalty?
The media crushed OSU because of Jim Delaney's formation of the Big Ten Network, what you're witnessing is the NCAA's over-reaction to that media firestorm.

Yes that's it. IT was all a media formulated conspiracy based on the obvious hatred for the Big Ten Network.
Now after this whole clown circus, why would you ever have trusted Gene Smith's judgment? He's been wrong at basically every turn.
I am fine with the ban loss of scholarships piss me off but this sets me off...
Yes. I was burned by trust in an incompetent administrator. Luckily, he'll be gone soon and I could falsely trust a new one.
