You guys are great. Truly.
It’s an interesting read, as is the Real Sports piece from earlier this year, but why is it resurfacing now? Do you have any context behind the tweet linking the story from last September? At its surface it looks like a feud between two companies, Daily Beast and Barstool, on social media.
With the Ringer writers forming a union. Portnoy tweeted that any employee of his who attempts to form one, will be fired. And it broke a lot of brains
Well, that’s another reason to regard Portnoy as a scummy piece of shit. Chuck it on the pile with all the other ones.
Just finished reading the article and I honestly feel like I need to take a shower. The shit described is downright fucking repugnant.
Arguing about Barstool is like politics, you either love it or hate it. There is no point in trying to convince the person to flip sides.
Portnoy is a huuuge internet troll. Everything he does is for clicks. He knows exactly what he’s doing. “Any press is good press”, that’s pretty much how he looks at it. His tweet yesterday about firing employees who attempt to form a union, got AOC and Donald Trump Jr tweeting about it. His employees have no desire to form a union, so it’s all a joke.
There’s 1000 hit pieces to every good piece about Barstool out there.
Great question, that's what I couldn't grasp. The call out in the subject line based on an 11 month old article was confusing to me.
