A lot to say about just another game

Browns-Steelers rivalry brings out a long speech.

By Patrick McManamon

Beacon Journal sportswriter

BEREA - The subject of the Browns-Steelers rivalry came up, and defensive end Alvin McKinley dismissed it as ``just another game to me.''

McKinley then was asked if the fans get into the rivalry more than the players, and he answered with this soliloquy:

``I'm not going to say that. As a player you're going to feel it's different from a playing standpoint.

``The fans all get drunk and all hyped up and all that stuff. We just got to go out and play.

``We can't get drunk before the game. We can't sit out and roast hot dogs and all that stuff before the game. You know?

``We got to go out there and play ball.

``So yeah, they're going to buy into it a lot more than we do. Because they're drunk.''

PS- Injury report Guard Coleman likely to miss game Sunday night

Coleman is good for 3 holding penalties so no harm done.

I would hope they'd use this rivalry towards energy in the game. Fans should be your most important muse. Just another game? This game is special because the fans make it special. They should use that energy to their advantage. It may be harder in Pittsburgh, but use the hope.
