Playoff Game Thread Signup (2017)

Hi -- I'm so tired of the regular season....so let's get ready for the playoffs. Thank you for giving a lot more effort during the regular season than the Cavs have.

We will handle the Game Preview Signup for the playoffs as we did the last couple years. Anyone who made a regular season preview is eligible.

Choice will go in the order below, based on number of regular season game previews (10 pts each) + number of likes + 2 bonus points for each time the Cavs won a game you previewed. I gave average scores for Gms 81/82.

BimboColesHair comes in first this year, just edging out Rob and CavsSimmy (whose likes/preview ratio trailed only NTG). There's a little sorting out to be done after game 81+82, but the top five posters look to be set at this point.

Eligible posters can pick a single available game, and when everyone has had a chance to pick, we'll circle around again for anything that is left. If you pick a game that isn't played...well, at least you won't have to put together a preview.

Please post in this thread to claim an open game (see end of post). BimboColesHair, you're welcome to claim a game now or to wait until the playoff seeds are set. Rob, you're welcome to post a request that includes two choices now (and whatever is available will be assigned to you). CavsSimmy, you can post a list of 3 games or a broader command ("Anything in Round X"). And so on. I'll aim to keep up with the posts and will send reminders to people who are on the clock. If you can't respond within 24 hours of the reminders, then I'll go to the next person and try to fit you in later.

Thank you in advance for helping out. Last year in this playoff signup thread I characterized the regular season as "glorified practice" for the 2016 post-season. This year, I'll describe what we saw as "glorified no-practice" for the 2017 post-season. So, here we go again...

My choice(s) are going to be oddly specific:

I want to take Game 1 if the Cavs play (in order of preference):
(1) Wizards
(2) Warriors (for this one, it would be the Finals game 2, if the Warriors make it)
(3) Celtics
(4) Raptors

If someone else has Game 1 for any of the potential series listed above, I can do another game within that series, preferably within the first four games.

I have an idea in mind that will be easier to execute with those teams, but in any case:

I can't reserve a bunch of spaces in the grid, so I am going to make an executive decision and give you Series 3, Game 1. Good chance of playing the Wizards or Celtics then. If you prefer a different choice, let me know from whatever is available.
