The reason I want this to happen is because I'm from Puerto Rico. They only air games from teams that have Puerto Ricans. The Mets, Blue Jays, Red Sox, Cardinals & Astros got most of the air time here.

Is this doable? I think the asking price would be reasonable.

I know it's a dumb reason to do it. I think he's a pretty good player though, didn't expect him to hit 20 home runs. That production for $7 million is very good.

They only aired like 1 game from the Indians all season! I assume it's because Roberto Perez was injured most of that time.

Let's see here... He is due 8 million in the last season of his contract for Boston... So price wise it's within a reasonable range that way and he can play LF so that way he fits a stopgap need. Now the question mark is, what will he cost... 4.9 total WAR in 21 means we will be buying him on the higher side since he doesn't normally hit above 2 WAR.

If Boston loses Kike, they lack production at 2B and its not a good free agent market plus they need young starting pitching... If I was running Boston I would want at least Gimenez and Morris at the bare minimum for Kike and the Indians would pretty much say hell no... We easily have the assets to get Kike but I doubt the Red Soxs will take anything less than an overpay for him

Thanks for your reply. He's good value for Boston so I don't see them giving him up. Would love if we tried though.

If Boston wasn't going for it in 22, it wouldn't be as bad, but since they are and losing a legit player for a position they don't have a good internal replacement for, makes his value way higher to them than he is worth honestly. I don't see him as a fit in 22 either. You have any other players that maybe we should target?

Well, any Puerto Rican would do to be honest. There are a few who will hit free agency, but they are more expensive, like Carlos Correa & Javier Baez. If we could get one of them, I would be ecstatic.

I don't know if this idea has been considered, but Lindor had a bad season & who knows if the Mets view him in their long term plans. Maybe we could get him back with the Mets paying some of his salary. This one is more of a longshot than Baez & Correa I would think.

In terms of trades, Jose Berrios would be awesome but he'd be expensive.

Players mentioned:
SS: Carlos Correa
2B: Javier Baez
SS: Francisco Lindor
P: Jose Berrios

Berrios would be nice, but he will command to much money for us... Baez and Correa will be the same issue, will cost to much for the Indians and Lindor we already know costed too much... I dont think the FO can help you sadly...

I would also like to see a baseball field appear in my backyard when I wake up tomorrow morning, which is more likely to occur than Carlos Correa or Lindor (???) playing in a Guardians uniform next season.

Get this Kike’s tuchis in here.

That Kike just got done going off like Jose Ramirez in June on the Rays, no way they trade him now. The Gs need to find the next young stud Puerto Rican so @JJ PR gets his games back.

I always thought the Yanks would have the guts to put all 3 in the same infield, but after watching just two of them turn into the Thumbs Down Brigade in NY I can't imagine they go that direction.

First the Browns have a backup kicker named Naggar now someone wants my baseball team to trade for a Kike?

These jokes write themselves.

Example: You would think a guy named Kike would play in the NFL, obviously his #1 goal is to get the quarterback.
