Literally millions of people play every year; it is one of the best-selling videogame franchises of all time, part of what made the DS the best selling console in the last 10 years and just shy of being the best-selling console of all time.

It is marketed to children and teens but so are most videogames. The gameplay really never stops with pokemon and it's one of those addictive RPGs you can play forever. Pokemon X and Y are the first brand new installments on a new system- the 3DS- since Diamond and Pearl for the DS, which sold over 17 million copies.

Way too many fucking pokemon lol. I stopped after Gen 2 (Gold, Silver, Crystal) because it got too ridiculous.

I still play the old versions a little bit every year for old times sake.
