A New Poll Has Determined Americans' Ideal Age (Hint: It's Probably Not Yours) - RELEVANT
If you could be one age for the rest of your life, what would you choose? A survey has found most Americans believe the “sweet spot” in life is right in

36 is considered the ideal age overall, with 29 the best for physical health and 51 the best for wisdom.
I actually completely agree with this. I'm 36, and this has been by far the best age of my life.
Sure, I'm not as ripped, and I can't run 7 and a half minute miles like I did when I was 29 (which I also agree is the best age for physical health, as the poll also indicated!) -- but my mental health, knowledge, social skills, and sense of perspective is the best it's ever been. I'm still young enough to be in decent shape (no creakiness), bear a child (12 weeks along already!), and do stuff -- but I'm just so much more balanced than I was at 29. I wouldn't trade being 29 again at all just because I was a little faster and stronger then. Mentally, I was still a mess, still lacking in knowledge, still inept socially, and still rather gullible. I remember freaking out over things that weren't worth freaking out over, but I was too young to know better.
It's just great to be at an age where you're old enough to know better, have learned when to walk away and when to engage, have enough knowledge and experience so that you aren't intimidated all the time, and can still get stuff done. I'm definitely enjoying it while it's here.
(I guess I can look forward to 51 when I'll apparently be at the height of wisdom!)
