Popovich plans to give Tim Duncan a regular season dose of playing time tonight. In the two games he has played thus far, Duncan has logged 35 minutes and 28 seconds. “Timmy will play the whole game (tonight),” Popovich said, “just to get him in shape and get his feel back. He'll probably play 30 minutes. I think Kurt (Thomas) is going to play, too. If he feels good (this) morning, we'll get him back in the flow.” ... Popovich may have Salim Stoudamire available for point-guard duty as well. Stoudamire has been frustrated by a strained right groin that has prevented him from participating fully in practices. “If it feels this good in the morning,” he said after practice, “I just might ask (Popovich) to let me suit up.”

Cavs Notes: 10/16/08

INDEPENDENCE -- Guard Daniel Gibson will start tonight at shooting guard for the Cavaliers in their exhibition game against the San Antonio Spurs at Quicken Loans Arena. Cavs coach Mike Brown announced the move today around noon today after shootaround at Cleveland Clinic Courts.
Brown was less definitive when asked the status of some other players. He said swing man Sasha Pavlovic, returning from a sprained right ankle, most likely would not play.
Forward/center Ben Wallace, who has been bothered by a sore back, most likely will play. Guard Delonte West, who just returned after 11 days away to take care of personal issues, may play

Boobie's pretty much exclusively been running the point behind Mo with Delonte out. I wonder if Daniel will slide off the ball or if Delonte will move to the SG position. I am definitely curious to see how that shakes out.
