Preseason Game 5: Magic vs. Cavs, Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, 7:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why is Glen Davis playing 34 minutes in a preseason game? Are they trying to get him hurt for the upcoming tank job?

I know right? Guess they're saving Eyenga and McRoberts for the regular season.

Yeah, this team is looking better and better as the preseason goes on. Playoff team for sure. I'm sure of it now.

So I guess this group of 5 can't inbound the ball either?

I was at this game, (yes i realize its still being played, left after 3). here are some things i noticed.

-Irving is definitely going at about 70%, he had a decent shooting game tonight, but even if he didn't, I wouldn't have been concerned, he's fine.

-Waiters is still adjusting to the overall speed of the game, he made some nice moves to the basket but couldn't finish. He made some jumpers and looks to have a decent stroke when he sets his feet. He's just going to be streaky, when he is good he will be really good and vice versa. I will say that I don't like his body language at all, but he's probably just putting a lot of pressure on himself right now.

-Miles as others have said is going to be this year's Jamison. But with a better shot, I think he's going to fit in well, probably average 12-15 ppg.

-Thompson is what he is, he did have a couple nice moves in the post, definitely an improvement off of anything we saw last year, he should show noticeable improvement.

-Not a lot of intensity in preseason basketball so really hard to take too much away. I do think they'll be improved, but anyone thinking they will be competing for a playoff spot is fooling themselves, unless 32 wins gets the 8 seed.

Are people seriously bitching here and on Twitter that Pargo helped us to win this game? LOL. The tank job has started apparently.

Pargo 6 pts (2-8 shooting), 5 assists, 5 TOs in 27 minutes.

Kevin Jones 5 rebounds, 1 block, 0 shots in 13 minutes.

Luke Walton 6 pts, 1 rebound, 2 assists in 11 minutes.

Micheal Eric 2 minutes.

Looks like we know who the odd-man out is.

Eyenga's got an injury, but things don't look good for his career. I think it's more likely that he gets waived than plays 20 games this year. He's not 100% focused on basketball anymore.

Casspi takes another step toward Starting small forward.

I was not as high on Zeller as some but am impressed by how he seems to get better with each outing...

I know it is just the preseason, but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Irving rack up 18 pts in the first half --> good omens for the future of this season!! (which is good, considering since there is no NHL, I am going to be watching the Cavs a lot more than usual!
