THINGS TO LOOK FOR
http://www.nba.com/fantasy/fantasy_playernews.jsp?date=10/18/08&type=news#elton_brandSpeights has been excelling when given floor time. If he capitalizes on this extra time, he could cause the 76ers to contemplate starting him over Dalembert.
http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2008/10/brian_windhorsts_cavaliers_blo_1.htmlThe Mo Williams-Andre Miller little scrap was surprising considering neither have reps as hotheads and it was a preseason game. Mo was still chippy about it afterward, too, more than two hours after he was ejected.
He was upset Miller threw the ball at him after Mo took a charge in the first quarter and racked up two technicals. These two teams face off again on Tuesday in Philly. The last time I saw the Cavs have an intense preseason game in the midst of a home-and-home was in 2004 with the Celtics. The result was Paul Pierce spitting at the Cavs' bench during a game at Ohio State and Pierce and LeBron nearly coming to blows in the hallway after the game. Stay tuned.
If you want to have fun while attending a Cavs preseason game [...] never take your eye off rookie J.J. Hickson. And then whenever he makes a play of note, good or bad, look over at the Cavs bench. Nobody gets more cheers and encouragement or looks of sheer dismay than J.J. It's been awhile since the Cavs have had a first-round draft pick who holds as much interest as Hickson, not just because he's so talented but because the Cavs really could use him right away. The team knows this, which is why he gets such reactions.
