Preseason Game #8 |Wizards at Cavs Oct 24, 8:00PM (ET)

^ It will obviously take some time for them to gel. Chemistry will come with time.

Anyone notice that Lebron is pretty darn good spot up shooter, I've notice that several times in the preseason Lebron just spotting up for three's is better than him doing it off the dribble.

Yeah but the thing was he never could spot up but last year you saw that a few times with Delonte and it should be more frequently now with Mo.

yeah i noticed that too. i think that because he has had the majority of his shots come off of him pounding the rock, his percentages weren't what they could have been. Lebron catching and shooting is yet another dimension that mo brings to the table. i'll say it once again everything is going right for us, i can just feel it.

I didn't get to see the game, so can anyone answer these 2 questions?

Why the hell did Wright play so much and JJ barely at all? If that old bum plays over JJ, I will absolutely lose it.

How bad was Delonte's sprain? Is it like a "oh I am fine, i'll be ready for Boston" or a "i'll be out a week or 2" or a "it's a high ankle sprain, ill miss about six weeks and then suck all year because I can't recover"?

Im glad to see we killed them, but it's not worth it if we lost West and JJ is earning a spot on the pine.:thumbdown

JJ didn't play much because he missed the bus to shootaround this morning, and Mike Brown was trying to teach him a lesson. When the score got out of hand, he let him in for a few minutes.

On the other question, Mike Brown said Delonte could have gone back in the game but they decided to be careful. That's from the AP/ESPN writeup.

It's good to punish players for things like that, but imo this time it was stupid. JJ needs all the time on the floor he can get. This was the last thing he needed. Way to lower that confidence of a young player MB! :thumbdown

I think this game would have been a little more exciting had there been another Cavaliers dance party like there was Wednesday night.

Good to see Hickson being punished for missing the team bus. It's a rookie mistake, and he'll learn by sitting on the bench. He knows he's not the stud on a crappy college team anymore, he's a rookie on a championship contender. It'll sink in real quick if he screws around that no one will cut him any slack. He's not dumb.

What a hell of a preseason game though. I've never seen the Cavs offense move like that. Loved seeing West doing his thing in the starting lineup. I'm just under the opinion that one of the 3 (LBJ/Mo/West) must be in at all times. Gibson is looking better at setting an offense, but he needs to learn to drive left.

Clearly some wrinkles that will be ironed out over the season, but god damn am I exicted.

I have noticed that too. Also, with west starting but playing sparing minutes...anyone else notice west played pg while mo played sg....its like if west and mo are in the back court together, mo looks for his own offense more. Not a bad thing. It was almost like we had 3 pg's out there in our starting lineup, and boobie's ball handling skills have improved greatly over the summer. This could be the year....it just feels like we might be on the verge of something special.

As soon as you cut them some slack on these type of things, they'll walk right over you. It was the right move by Brown.

I'm actually surprised that Brown let him in the game at the end. He's pretty hard-nosed about these things, and teaching a rookie to grow up is a lot easier in the final pre-season game. The Wizards forced his hand, I guess.

I was very pleased with todays game, the offense seemed to be clicking and the defense was great. Its good to see Mo handle the ball the majority of the time, he had only one assist but just by watching the game you would have thought he had more imo. He shot the ball very well tonight, good to see someone on our team other than bron who can create for themselve. That lay up was sick and his jump shot was on tonight, plus he only had 1 turnover and 6 rebounds.

We actually only had 9 turnovers the whole game which is very good, that right there shows you Mo's affect on the team and that guys like Boobie and West have gotten better as ball handlers and passers. Lebron was great as always, he made all 5 of his free throws so that is always good. I dont know if anyone noticed but he was using some new routine before shooting them. Ben actually played well today, he was very active out on defense and rebounded the ball well. Pavs is starting to shoot the ball better but still has the IQ of a stick, he needs to improve his ball handling a lot. As a shooting guard you need to have decent handles for you can create offense for yourself.

But again, very good game....

Pavs and Wally seemed to play really well together with Gibson. I know Delonte at the 2 creates mismatches but you can't deny how well the ball moved when Mo, Delonte, and LeBron were in as opposed to Gibson, Sasha, and LeBron where we went back to LeIso. Seeing LeBron set picks was also a nice change.

Finally a game where the Cavs looked good on both offense and defense. The Wiz are having a terrible pre-season, but hey, at least we topped them once again. The rotations looked crisp.
