Can we just play this damn guy? Make him the starter. This whole "ruining the QB" thing is absurd.
I can't imagine is using an mlb a ton, but I agree.I noticed Carder was out of position/missed sure tackle about 3 times this drive. I really hope Schobert can pass him up.
Worst case scenario you get Darnold, Rosen or Allen. So yea you might as well play him.Can we just play this damn guy? Make him the starter. This whole "ruining the QB" thing is absurd.
Never going to be a question of arm talent with Kizer. He has that and the ability to slide and reset in spades.
It all boils down to accuracy and processing speed. If he can get both of those to acceptable levels, he can be a very NFL QB good.
..i might have to watch this year
The impatience I'm reading is staggering. Sure he had some success tonight. The coaching plan was perfect for him to enjoy that taste of success. The defense he faced had 3rd stringers, the defense wasn't scheming to confuse him. It's a vanilla defense in the preseason, which is why Williams played a lot of 4-3. There's such a huge difference between a second half preseason game and opening night of the regular season.
I still believe Kizer is going to start a significant number of games, my money is on right after the bye, but arm strength and pocket presence is just a small part of the transition to the NFL. Hue set him up to succeed tonight, maybe his plan going forward will work as well.
