Raptors @ Cavs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That is exactly the type of role that Devin Brown needs: coming off the bench and let him do his thing... That is the role he was so good in last year with the Hornets and it's his best role here... He's not a starter and shouldn't be a starter... His game is best suited to come off the bench and do what he does...

AC's funniest quote of all time came tonight... After Z blocked Ford's shot: "Naw, naw, naw, naw...Not in Z's house!" I was cracking up...

Gotta hope Big Ben is okay as this is the 2nd time he's missed some games because of back spasms...

Excellent 4th qtr...I like how Damon,Joe,Wally and LBJ played this one....Lets win tomorrow and keep our winning streak....

Wally's impressive 6 minutes in the first half :chuckles:

The logjam at SG strikes again and no mention of Devin Brown who broke out of it for tonight's game at least.

Pioneer I've liked you for a long time and your posts but your hate for wally is consistant. Devin will cost us a playoff game. bank it. He makes really costly dumb plays in my opinion and our underutilization of a good offensive player (wally) when we cant score in the third quarter is really bothersome

and a 0.417 0.304 shooter is not who i want taking spot up 3's when we need points badly.

I don't know why your jumping all over for me Wally: He's had what one good game so far? I criticize even my favorite players on this team like AV (see my thread on AV's contract for example) when they screw up and Wally hasn't shown me much. At the same time I've consistently stated that he should get some PT till Boobie comes back. I'm sorry I want players to earn minutes though instead of just showing emotion on the court. Frankly, what I think will happen is that Brown will simply go with the hot hand: sometimes that will be Sasha, sometimes it will be Brown, and hopefully it will be Wally as well

I just feel like we are lacking offensive firepower, and we have wally sitting on the bench which just mind boggles me. Devin Brown aint exactly the greatest scorer in the league and his defense isnt much superior to Wally to be honest. I feel like gibson needs atleast 32mpg . So whos losing their spot?

There is a reason why Devin Brown makes himself a key contributor on every team he plays for and it is because he is smart, hustles, plays under control, and can make the extra pass. He has hit some pretty big 3's lately and has a decent game going to the basket. I am pretty happy with him so far but definitely prefer him off the bench. I wouldn't mind seeing Lebron moved to the 4 with Wally and Pavs in the game at the same time when we are struggling for offense.

The Cavs have enough different guard options that it's likely that at least one or two guys will be on any given game. It was Sasha for a couple games. Wally had a good game against Detroit. Devin came up big tonight. Damon's shot has been pretty steady throughout the year. Gibson will make that mix even deeper and more potent.

It's PG and SG by committee until somebody really steps up and claims those spots.

Sure it's a fine theory but it's still only a theory till Wally can show it on the court. We assume Wally's offensive number will improve because he's shown he can at least shoot but Wally also has played with some pretty bad teams over the last few years.

The thing is with Lebron you absolutely have to be efficient with your shots: the way the Cavs offense is structure you're going to get good looks but not necessarily many That means you have little chance to get into a flow unless your cold blooded like Boobie or play the pick and roll real well (Z, AV). Does Wally fits this I don't know yet. Brown has his faults as well but unlike the other guys on our team he attacks the basket and not just jack up the jumpshot. He's going to have a place on our team. If and when Wally contribute then let him see more time but if he wants a place it will by performing now and not what he did before he came here

Where was Wally for the 2nd half? I didn't notice him. No big loss, though.

One thing I've noticed about Wally is that he's always out of position on offense when Lebron is on the floor with him. At one point against I the Pistons? he was at the top of the key bunched together with Andy and Devin (I think - I'll check the film to see if it was him) when Lebron was at the left box being double teamed. He needs to slide over to the weak side and expect that cross court pass like Damon and Boobie.

I'm going to give him a pass when he's on the court without Lebron because the entire team plays like garbage most nights when the King is resting.

I'm really pleasantly surprised on how hard he works on defense. He keeps his man in front of him and forces them to shoot over his lanky frame. Now I wouldn't have him guarding Ray Allen or Mike Redd but he does an ok job with slashing wing players.

Devin brown played like crap up until about 20 games ago when suddenly he became kyle korver from 3 and began to drive like lebron, do I think his spot up shooting will last until the playoffs.. no.. do i think damons lights out 3 pt shooting will show up in the playoffs .. no. There is so much variance but when the money is on the line is when real players shine. AV, Gibson, And lebron are the onyl 3 players on the team that are money players in my opinion so far. I just believe that wally has been that pure outside shooter wingman we wanted so bad when we signed hughes.. I think we are under utilizing him and over utilizing people we are comfortable with when we should be mixing and matching
