Just watched Wolf of Wall Street finally. An instant favorite.
Laughed my ass off the whole way through. Best way to describe is is just "fun."
Gay.
You told a guy several hours ago that you'd lick his taint.
Reviews seem to be kind of mixed so far on the new spiderman, regardless I plan on watching it. The last move I saw in theaters was cap america. I thought it was fantastic along with everybody else apparently. It was probably my favorite Marvel film thus far ahead of both Avengers and the first Iron Man for me. I watched rush the other day and thought it was pretty good myself. I'm not much of a race fan, but the acting was fairly good, and I enjoyed the rivalry between the two racers. Hemsworth has more personality and charm as a womanizing, drinking/smoking, partying formula 1 driver than as Thor. I think he has a really bright future in Hollywood.Spiderman is coming out tomorrow.. Hyped.

Dallas Buyer's Club: 8.5/10
Great film. Thought the praise for Jared Leto's performance was wildly overstated. Apparently you only need to dress in women's clothes to pull in an Oscar nowadays. Not very nuanced and had maybe one standout scene. The other nominated roles weren't especially strong this year but someone got robbed. McConaughey killed it as usual.
Short Term 12: 9/10
Great film that went under the radar. About a group home of troubled teens and the advisors that work with them. Touching story and Brie Larson is amazing in it.
Desolation of Smaug.
I was a huge fan of the previous trilogy but these two movies are some of the most disappointing I can remember. The action scenes were some of the cheesiest and blatantly unrealistic action scenes I've ever seen. I realize we're in a fantasy world... but at least build the tension instead of have what looks like a video game cutscene starring an elf who is standing on top of two dwarfs heads with each foot, straddling himself and shooting perfectly placed arrows in the heads of orcs while they roll down a river in a couple of barrels. The special effects were some of the worst I've seen in a high production movie and I seriously feel Jurassic Park completely blows it out of the water.
The movie just completely lost me and I probably fell asleep for an hour an hour into it and still had an hour left when I awoke. Peter Jackson can't redeem himself after this one.
