Hood just looks way more comfortable on a really bad team. Less pressure, less scrutiny.
Drew said something interesting last night post-game. He said Hood is "a passive guy by nature", which really struck me that Drew was so willing to say something like that publicly.
If I’m not mistaken we could not trade him without his permission because he loses his bird right with the new Team.....The Cavs either extend him or trade him, URFA after this year I believe.

The reason he has a no trade clause is because he is playing on the qualifying offer. If he is traded, the new team will not have his bird rights. This is why I question why people say to trade him, without bird rights his value is so low.
We saw how little offers Memphis got for Tyreke Evans last year and he was playing alot better than Rodney is right now.
He shot 70% and made all 4 of his threes. If he plays like that half the time he is Klay Thompson, you pay him, give him the old billboard spot, sign him up for Mr Hero commercials, and start attending his sons 6th grade basketball games. I have a suspicion none of this is going to transpire. If he plays like that half the time this year we sign an extension and trade him next year.. the question is "What changed?" Is it merely a happy Hood playing well or is it actual x's and o's from Drew that made that difference
Hood cannot be traded without his permission, he’s not going to agree to to be traded to a team that can’t sign him above there salary cap, Honestly if he was smart he would try to stay here all year ball out and get paid either by us or by sound team that is over inflated with his numbers.....Agreed but he could be packaged as a sweetener with a large expiring. Take back a young player or pick Hood and Jr go out, that team improves it's shooting
Correction this is the Rodney Hood we needed last year. Sighs.....There’s the Rodney we need this year. Not afraid to take a 3.

You sneak in here ever so rarely. Gotta bring that knowledge around more often!Rodney Hood = the new Iman Shumpert.
Every one out of ten games he'll play really well and we won't trade him because of potential.
Iman Shumpert is/was better than this fool. At least Iman actually gave us positive playoff minutes in 2015.
