D'Qwell Jackson! niceeeeeeeee

Re: Draft: Round 2

We picked ILB D'Qwell Jackson...another 3-4 guy.

Re: Draft: Round 2

wouldn't have minded seeing Justice or White at this pick either, but i like it

Re: Draft: Round 2

Jackson, D'Qwell ILB 6-0 229 Maryland

Re: Draft: Round 2

For the 43rd and Faine. He is gone man

Re: Draft: Round 2

We skipped on them last year, we got a good one this year. I beleive he is the first inside linebacker taken in the draft. Everyone else projects as Outside. I wonder what we dealt for it though.

Re: Draft: Round 2

Read my last post CDT. It was for Faine and the 43rd.

Re: Draft: Round 2

Nice..get his ass out..nice swap though Faine for Bentley..I'll take it.

Re: Draft: Round 2

i will be the first to admitt that i dunno much about Dqwell, but i read over this bio on ESPN:Jackson played as a backup in all 14 games as a true freshman in 2002 and finished with 51 tackles. He emerged as a fulltime starter in 2003 and earned second-team All-ACC honors with a team-high 136 total tackles. As a junior in 2004, he finished with a team-high 123 tackles, including seven TFL, four sacks, two INTs and five PBU. He missed 2005 spring practice after having surgery on his wrist. Jackson was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2005, when he started all 10 games that he played (missed Temple game with leg injury) and finished with 137 tackles, 6.5 TFL, four sacks and two interceptions. Jackson emerged as an elite linebacker at the WLB position as a sophomore in 2003, he made a seamless transition from WLB to MLB as a junior in 2004, and he took his game to the next level

sounds really impressive, which i guess that is what the draft is all about: getting psyched about dudes who dominated in college.

savage rules

Re: Draft: Round 2

What I am hearing from Maryland fans, he is like Jonathon Vilma reincarnated. We will love him.

He is a leader and a punisher. He will knock some people around.

Yep, our LB rotation is S.E.T.
