Round 2, Game 2 | Cavaliers vs. Hawks | May 8, 2009 - ESPN 8:00 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Give Mike Brown some credit for that last dunk by Bron at the end of the 1st. He saw the Cavs possession was starting with 25.9 seconds left, which is basically one possession. He quickly subbed in Mo for Ben, knowing there would be no defensive ramifications.

The Hawks looked like they'd never seen a sub before. Solomon Jones literally went from guarding Ben before the sub to guarding LeBron after the sub. How the Hawks let that happen is beyond me.

If were lucky, we should get a 2 minute highlight on ESPN due to Manny Rameriez.

Very happy with the win. Lebron.. what can you say? :king:
Not too happy with the 2nd team play in the 4th, but on the positive tip it'll give Mike something to hound them on and continue to keep the team focused, so it might be a positive afterall. :)

ZOMGOODNES only 6 wins away from getting back.. 10 from winning it all...

So close yet so far..

My guess is that by the team he would normally come in for his 2nd-half minutes, the game had been decided. So, the Cavs let him rest up some more and make sure he's ready as possible for Round 3. He looked pretty good tonight in limited minutes.

They didn't announce anything during the game.

Oh okay, it's always nice to have a common sense answer considering I'm worrying about injuries. Dude's getting plenty of rest, there's a small part of me which hopes he'll explode when it matters most.

The Debbie Downer Nitpick of the night: we just paid Ben $91,000 for that 1 block and a few boards ($16M/2 = $8M $8M/88 games (82 regular season + 6 post-season) ). Just sayin...

Anyone remember when Boobie used to contribute? I barely do...

He's barely gotten off the bench in the playoffs. He's not going to pout or complain because he's a team guy and loves winning but in the back of his mind I'm sure it bothers him.

The Cavs just ripped apart the Hawks..it was interesting feeling I got from the watching the first half..it felt to me the Cavs were being methodical with them ..knowing they could put them away at any time..
The other interesting part was the second unit minus West..when the Hawks starting trimming the lead, they showed a shot several times of the bench..Lebron/Mo had thios real concerned look..like "OH no, they can't let this lead go down again"..

Of course good hammering...now it's time to end this..

Yes, and there's a big difference between that and toying around with a team, like the Lakers do. But that's the problem with being a team that subsists solely on outscoring their opponent.

The Cavs do seem to pick their spots to make a run and they use defense to do it rather than trying to quicken the offensive pace.

Great game but i would really love to see Big Z find the fountain of youth and be more affective in games.

He tweaked his groin in practice last Saturday....it's bothering him. Another sweep would be a good thing.
