Rubber Rim Job: 20 Years Ago today (a Time Capsule episode)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am excited to do this one.

Regardless of how many we get @RchfldCavRaised if you would agree to it, I would accept calls from @foucault87 and @stick discussing topics similar to the requested ones if they’d like.

Unless you guys want to free form something else, you guys could do something like switch 1) to what were you doing in life when you became a Cav fan, 2) to what do you remember about the first team that attracted your interest 3) LeBron opinions 4) parallels between this team and that team you remember.

It could get us a little off the planned beaten path, but we wouldn’t have trouble getting back on.

True story, I reached out to @The Oi before the call - this was like 11:30pm mind you - and was like "is Rch gonna answer the phone? because I don't know who he is and I think it would be weird to call his personal cell this late."

He assured me it was just a voicemail specific line. So I went after it haha.

True story: Randolph called and it actually rang my personal line because I forgot to update the settings after Google reset the damn thing.

So I called him back a few hours later and kept him on the phone for like an hour thinking he wanted to talk to a playa. The next morning, I checked the inbox and realized he wasn't calling to talk to me at all, but just wanted to leave his submission

Poor guy played along the entirety of the call :chuckle:

Those young guppies can go to hell

Of course I want their submissions. Both of those young pups should probably have their own segments on RRJ by now with how consistent they contribute. Good call

Enjoyed chopping it up with ya. My own error was telling my wife, "just pause the show, this should be a quick one."

My memories of this season are definitely centered around the opening of Church Brew Works in the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh, PA. Living out of market meant I could watch very few Cavs games at home. Then an old Catholic church turns into a glimmering, shiny homage to pizza and microbrews... playing every Cavs game on one of the screens. So the Cavs sucked but I was enjoying the hell out of each game.

Left a short one this time around. Looking forward to the pod!

Are we still limited to 24 seconds? Answering four questions in any detail I’d have to speak like the old FedEx commercial dude.

Called in. Definitely needs editing.

I looked at that roster leading up to the draft. What a horror show.

I’m gonna need a quarter. Maybe a half.

No time limits at all for anyone

One of our call-in submissions called, used the whole 4 mins, called back and picked up the 4 min call where he left off like a goddamn call-in professional. Pretty sure he left citations and links at the bottom of his call, like he just submitted a thesis (way to show these rookies how it's done @J_J )

Let it rip fellas. Less of me and Jig talking is better. Last episode we came pretty damn close to proposing to each other on air.

CALL IN SUBMISSIONS UP TO 6 CALLS!

Appreciate you guys. Let's get through this weekend with whatever gets submitted sobre (or preferably drunk) and I'll get with Jig and turn on these mics next week sometime!
