I know we had interest in the guy, so I know little about him am interested in seeing how he does through out this year.

His first game was a little shaky

18 minutes
5 points
2-5 FG%
1-4 3%
2 rebounds
2 assists
2 TO
2 steals

but tonight he looked nice...he was really poised.

13 minutes

3-5 FG%
1-1 3%
1 rebound
2 assists
2 TO
2 Steals

...the annoucers kept talking about how good he is as a rookie, which I found a little silly because he like 30 years old and has more experience that half the guys on the court. He technically is a rookie, but it is not shocking that he is more developed then a regular rookie.

I watched the game tonight, and all I can say is "SLOW".. Eric Snow has I verson like quickness compared to Sarunas... He might be the worst defensive PG in the league already..

However, he was able to run the offense smoothly, and had a nice outside shot..

He also was bitchin' all night at the refs, I seen him drop at least 3 F-BOMBS :chuckles:

Haha, at one point they showed both his and Stephen Jackson's hideous faces both glaring and yelling at the officials...those two could be a hilarious couple.

:chuckles: I caught that too... I believe Sarunas said, "You've got to be fu&#in' kidding me"

Saurnas is exactly as advertised. He is a good offensive player with good handles, good vision, and a good shot.

However, he is on par with Jeff McInnis in terms of his defensive ability. It's completely non-existant. He is one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. He was letting Gary Payton blow right past him like he wasn't even there.

To be beaten so soundly by the current Payton is scary when you consider how much speed Payton has lost over the years. I agree with what was said in this thread. While I expected Saurnas to be slow, I had no idea he was THAT slow.
