Does it surprise you guys that the Indians haven't been selling out most of the games? This year seems like their best chance to do good in the playoffs since 1998.

It's a little surprising, but I think people are still getting over the Cavaliers season. All of us were focused on them (rightfully so) and it might take a couple weeks to flip the switch back onto the Tribe. I was at the game last night... even though it wasn't a huge crowd it was a good one. The fans will be there soon enough...

nope, Cleveland is a football city.

No not at all. We are not winning. If we win year after year then we will but not when we are decent. James is right.. Everyone always puts the Browns ahead of all the other teams which is surprising since they are by far the worse. But thats Cleveland.

The Browns get a free pass because of what happened with Modell... no NFL in this city for four years was pretty rough. But even the Browns are in danger if they don't get their act together soon. It's pretty sad when tailgating is the best part of Sunday football in this town. The actual game is always the lowpoint and that has to stop...

yea but still, you guys need to back your teams a little better, you (not saying people on this board, people from Cleveland in general) complain about not being respected as a sports city and being cursed and not getting attention....look at the stands, Baseball tickets are the cheapest of all tickets, and going to a baseball game beats sitting in an Arena and watching basketball. Browns dont start until September, which means there is little to no reason a 1st place team should have empty seats in the middle of summer, ive seen plenty of games at the jake and its a good place to watch baseball.

Cleveland seems to be the only city who cant juggle 3 teams...wake up Cleveland, your actually winning in some sports, dont waste the oppertunity to go out and see your team. Chicago is able to balance Cubs/Bulls/Bears, why cant you do the same?

Chicago is a much larger metro area James, it's not a good comparison. I'd look more at markets like Pittsburgh and Milwaukee. But they don't even carry teams in the 3 major sports. Cleveland is a unique situation, but I do agree, empty seats at this point in the Jake is pretty depressing. I'll really be discouraged if this continues into July.

just went to the game we only drew 24,000 some.. pretty said since were a 42-29 ball club and in first place

The White Sox don't really draw crowds which has always been suprising.

It's hard to get excited about a team when all of it's star players will be on the Yankees or Red Sox in a year or two.... the steroids debacle and Barry Bonds making a mockery of the sport has turned a lot of fans off.

My parents and I will be attending 2 games in September against the Royals. :yay:

The fact that everyone finds it fashionable to bash A-Rod instead of enjoying his greatness, is just whack.....

Very true, how good of a player he is,is just amazing.

Its hard to like a guy or respect a guy who is a pretty boy and puts colors in his hair, bashes teammates in magazines right before the playoffs start, trys to slap the ball out of someones hands so he can get to base... sorry, the guy is a douche, always has been always will be, i disliked him even when he was with the Rangers, and i would have lost all respect for Theo had we got him the year we were trying to deal Manny for him. A shame he cant follow in someone like Jeters steps and just be a class act instead of trying to be GQ man of the year.

Im a Cavs fan, yet I dont understand why C-Town is not a basketball city...(apparently)

We have Bronny...if you guys need more, I dunno what to tell you. Basketball kicks Football's ass IMO.
