Repossessed
Aug 22 - Former professional basketball star Latrell Sprewell, who three years ago rejected a $21 million contract offer, calling it insulting and saying he had a family to feed, had his 70-foot, $1.5 million, Italian-built yacht repossessed Tuesday.
Armed with an order from U.S. Magistrate Judge William E. Callahan Jr., a federal marshal seized the vessel in Manitowoc, where it sat in storage.

Callahan is presiding in a court case filed by a New York bank that claims the yacht's owner, a company run by Sprewell, has defaulted on a mortgage loan. -- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Seems like always a star goes broke because they spend their money as soon as they make it. Pippen, Sprewell, and various others are in financial mode. Maybe the NBA should teach them how to spend as well.

I love the fact three years ago he rejected a 21 million contract offer. Saying he has to feed his family... what the hell is he feeding them? Does he have gold plated dinner ware that he just throws out everynight?

Soon we will read: Sprewell has Stated: I Think I can Comeback along with:
Sprewell is interested in the Cavs, Heat, Mavs, and Boston.

Edit: Crap I can't edit the title and I spelled Yacht wrong...

Re: Sprewell Yaht Repossessed

For a while Spreewell had one of the best side hustles of any person in sports, he was making tons of money off of Aftermarket car products. Guess he was just spending more then he had. There are more NBA players/Entertainers who are in this same kind of situation then most people think.

Yeah I know, I wouldn't mind seeing an official list of broke ex NBA stars.

Those spinners on that van are tits^

I was cracking up when I read this at work...go figure.

The sad part is they have classes and people to talk with about handling your money...Most of these guys come from the inner city, they have nothing to begin with, they bust their ass to make it, yet don't seem to appreciate it once they obtain it...At the end of the day, it's kinda like, what's the point ?? If you can't appreciate it, why work for it ?

How one blows their wealth beyond their already extreme means is beyond me ???

I'm gonna lmao if this guy has to go out and get a job.
