I know a former member of RFC made a topic about this and said he wanted to make a quick buck. That’s not really my question, but I was wondering if anyone has invested before, if so how they went about it and what types of analysis they used for the stocks they chose?

For example: Do you have a financial planner? or Do you use Etrade? What a kind of fees and costs am I looking at? Some sites aren’t clear on whether it’s a flat rate or if its per-trade.

I'm currently a senior Finance major at Youngstown and have done some research, but I still would still appreciate or be encouraged with any useful comments from the RFC forum.

Once again I'm not here for a quick buck so ... I don't need hot picks or hot stocks (although I wouldn’t mind looking up a few stocks you recommend), but rather a better understand of the whole process. I plan on setting up a miniature diversified portfolio with six to seven stocks.

Also if anyone is interested I can create or someone else can create a contest at http://investsmart.coe.uga.edu/C001759/ *Not real money* :)

Let me know if you are interest… Thanks in advanced for your help!
