COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Defense Department says a central Ohio soldier has died in Iraq from injuries suffered when his patrol came under fire from enemy forces.

Sergeant Adam Knox was killed Sunday in Baghdad. The 21-year-old was assigned to the Army Reserve 346th Psychological Operations Company based in Columbus and was a native of suburban Hilliard.

A spokeswoman for the Army Special Operations Command says Knox joined the Army in 2003 and had training to become a psychological operations specialist and a parachutist. She says his company was mobilized for Iraq in February and deployed shortly thereafter.

Knox is survived by his mother and a brother.

Terrible..

All these people dying for no ****ing reason. They didn't have WOMD's we aren't getting enough oil to be over there for..as it was skyhigh until the last few weeks.

If Bush wants to be at war so bad why did he go AWOL and never fulfill his duty to his country when it called? He's a pussy who'd rather sit back and make the all mighty buck while innocent kids are killed over in Iraq..and if they're not dead they're like my friends brother who can't even sleep through a thunderstorm without shooting out of his bed in a panic attack :thumbdown

yeah man too many of these, its so sad isnt the death toll over 2,000?

2,708 Americans killed and somewhere around 50,000 to 75,000 or more Iraqi deaths weather it be civilians or enemy. Almost 300 more killed and America has the same amount killed in 9/11 while the Iraqis have more than 16 times that.:(
