It's very simple. When you go look at the height of every NBA player in the league, almost all of them are taller than 5'9. Height is rather important in playing basketball. I mean if you wanna argue this, go ahead. I won't.

Maybe he makes it. He's got skills. But most guys can't overcome the lack of size.

The fact that he's an elite athlete is at least a point in his favor. But you are absolutely right that he'll have to overcome the odds to make it. He's definitely got the skills and athleticism. It just remains to be seen if he can make plays against NBA players night in and night out.

Summer League performances, while a fun diversion, are ultimately meaningless. Still, at 54 you can afford to take chances on a guy like Felder.

A real problem in summer league. Partly the players, mostly the refs. Makes it hard to evaluate someone like McRae who has gotten to the line a billion times the first two games.
