Summer League Game 6, Cavs vs. Nets, July 16, 10:00pm

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Doesn't matter.

Just be there in the bench wearing the Cavs summerleague jersey.

That would send Bulls franchise back to stone age. Just the thought of LeBron ending their season.
serious question if the cavs got to the title game and it was for some reason held at the q. How many people would attend?

Why isnt he allowed?

Are only 1st and 2nd year players even allowed?
yes generally. There are special cases. The late Tractor Traylor got to play as a vet.

That was a hell of an entertaining summer league game. Quite surprised how much I got into the final outcome!

Once again Mcrae starts out well shooting.. gets fouled a bunch that's not called. then the trips to the free throw line begin because Mcrae keeps attacking.

Im trying to figure out where people think Felder fits on this team right now. One play of him freelancing with the ball while LeBron is on the court will be his last play of the game. Broken record, but if the shot doesnt improve he doesnt play here.

Summer league ball is usually constant free-lancing. The fact he only does it every now and then tells me he'll be just fine sticking within the bounds of the offense and his role. His jumper isn't so bad that you don't have to respect it. He'll be fine.

Perhaps I'mbeating a dead horse at this point, but I keep reading posts that claim Felder plays within a role and can be the backup point guard this upcoming season. I just don't see evidence of that possibility.

After 6 games, Felder is averaging 3.7 assists a game. He is also averaging 2.17 turnovers per game. I've heard claims that the other players aren't able to score, which hurts his assist numbers. What I see is passes that don't set teammates up for shots. They just bail Felder out of failed drives. Felder started the summer as the point guard, but by the third game he and McRae switched off initiating the offense. Now he is a scoring guard off the bench.

His defense has been a pleasant surprise for me this summer, but when Ty Lue and David Griffin are both saying he needs a year of polish in interviews, it's time to honestly assess where he needs to improve.

Some of those lobbed skip passes Felder throws won't cut it in the NBA. He has a lot of development to do. I don't see him playing many meaningful minutes this season.

Another PG has to be brought in.

This is why I said after the draft that I hoped he was being taken as the replacement for Mo and that we would be keeping Delly, but the summer league has shown that he's not even on Mo's level yet of being able to set up other guys. If Mo has another injury riddled year then I guess we'll just have to rely on Bron being point for the second unit, but it sure was nice to have another guy that could run the offense.
