just wondering if anyone knows what kind of money Minny will have to play with this offseason. with Sprewell and Cassell coming off the books i would guess they would be a player in the market for a SG and maybe a guy like Antonio Daniels. going to play with KG would be just as tempting as going to play with LeBron.

Not sure on their cap space but they did shell out big deals with Wally and Kandi. This added with Garnetts huge deal would leave little space. Hassell also signed a reasonable deal, and I think Hudson is on ok money. Outside of those players, they have no significant deals, but the Wolves have not been mentioned as players in the free agent market that I have seen.

I dont believe Cassell is a free agent yet.

If my mind serves me right, he has one more year, but Latrell is done.

They have no space at all.

Cassell does have one more year as well.

Sprewell's contract was for 14 million this season, and it's coming off the books so they have something to work with

for some reason i thought Cassel was done this year too, maybe it was the early season Spree like contract whining. really i do feel for him, because he has to feed his family.

They still don't have all that much to work with, if any.

KG is on the books for 18 million, Wally Z is on the hook for 10 million, Sam and Kandi are both set to make 6 million. Add in Hudson, Hassell, Hoiberg, and Ebi and your talking a team basically capped out.

CBBI's right. They are 46 mil in salaries starting the offseason. It's not gonna look too good for them this year. Next year, on the other hand, they'll get both Cassell and Kandi of the books for 12 mil in space.

Did Hudson get an extension? I don't remember.

well for 1 i do, and let me tell you why. with Sprewell heading out of twon they will be looking for a new SG so i was wondering if they had the cap space to make a run at Ray Ray, Redd, Hughes, Johnson, etc. you know trying to guage what the Cavliers might be up against in the FA market. to some going to a team just one year removed from the Western Conf Finals with a guy like KG might be more tempting then going to the Cavaliers who have yet to win anything.

Don't get me wrong i like the mind set of Cleveland good, others bad but take a step back and look at the big picture.

Atlanta will be the only team in the NBA with more cap space then us. They will be attacking big men like Dalembert, Curry and Chandler. I doubt they'll pursue Ilgauskas too hard.
