No need for jabs. The long-winded people have spoken.
Yes sir, we’re going to get a haul for Clevenger and Lindor and maybe Plesac too.

Regardless, I think you're going to be disappointed in the lack of player movement if you're expecting those three to be dealt in the next 6 months.
Obviously anything can happen, but as you said, this year is pretty unique and makes trades less likely.I agree. I dont see allot of movement this year because of the uniqueness of the year it will make negotiations difficult. They arent even sure yet we can have a normal year next year. I think Cleve and Pleasac are on the team to begin next year, Lindor gets traded in the offseason unless a miracle extension happens, but unlikely.
The team will explore all options with Lindor, I'm sure, but the Clev/Plesac talk is purely speculation by fans at this point, and that rarely leads to anything.

All I know for sure is that the FO doesn't have a history of dealing players away at discount prices. So, if we were to deal any of them, I agree with @biggie4 that it would be for a massive haul.
Care to elaborate? All in the eyes of the beholder I suspect
must be a young un - we gave away brandon phillips cause he wouldnt kiss wedge's ass - talent trumps "culture" every day of the weekObviously anything can happen, but as you said, this year is pretty unique and makes trades less likely.
Even in a normal year, a team trading two high-profile players like Lindor and Clev in a short period of time is also quite rare.

Nope, I am plenty old enough to remember Phillips quite well. Not sure how he's relevant to anything in my post though.must be a young un - we gave away brandon phillips cause he wouldnt kiss wedge's ass - talent trumps "culture" every day of the week
Pretty simple Derek, a haul to one person isn't to another (eyes of the beholder).Care to elaborate?
Do you believe that the FO would trade any of those guys for below market value?
Rocky Colavito was, too.i think phillips mighta been traded for just a hair under market value
Well said Jup... on multiple levels.Pretty simple Derek, a haul to one person isn't to another (eyes of the beholder).
Take the Kluber trade - some think the return of Clase was great, others not so much.
And market value will be EXTREMELY hard to predict until after the next CBA. Next year could still be Virus infected and then you have the strike potential. I personally don't think any of our "crystal balls" can interpret all the impact on values. At least I know mine can't, it has been partly cloudy since March this year, and I hear the forecast isn't any better for the foreseeable future.
