What snake names are out there, like Boa......where Chubb just quietly squeezes the life out of you.
Chubb just reminds me of a classic cleveland runningback.
There's a lot people who's frame of reference for the NFL goes back to 1999 or so, thus their perception of Cleveland Football is well...what we've all seen play out.
In actuality when you look at the history of the team? the amount of runningbacks that have made names here is rather incredible. Some tenures are longer than others, but are all in the lore IMO.
Keep feeding him the rock.
Up until the constructive end of the First Browns (1994), they had an unsung RB hero in Leroy Hoard.
Put together a great season after starting the season as a back-up I think.
Power runner. Quiet. Workman-like.
Old School
Well there is Jim Brown. It's too early to put Chubb in that league, but the way he hits the line, then just gets back up and hits it again, reminds me of Brown.. I think Chubb knows what he can do, He is just waiting for everybody else to catch on..
Michigan guy, too. Who says we don't like Michigan guys? Hoard was a little more quotable than Chubb though, not to damn him with faint praise.
Mike Pruitt is another fairly unsung Browns RB. Had some big years running and receiving. But, he played on a team best known for throwing the ball and he has the same last name as another Browns legend who played basically the same position, so he doesn't get as much love as he should.
