Bath tub. The nightly routine for well over a month now. Thanks, fireworks. Worst year for this that I can remember, by far.Tub.JPG

Ever try this?

My sister had an anxious collie years ago, that was deathly afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. She got the dog one of these, and it really made a difference. Her dog wasn’t cured of the fears or anything, but the thundershirt made it much easier to deal with.

Actually plan on getting that when I make a pet store run this week

These work well for cats too.

Meester wears one when company is over and he is very calm, sits in people's lap when he usually hides when people come over.

It is worse this year.

I think people are bored, fed up or outright hostile.

So fireworks.

Many of my friends from Army truly hate this time of year. I got over it after being out for a few years.

No joke, a few weeks after coming home from Iraq I dove onto the floor of a friends place when someone lit off some fireworks. They looked at me funny. I played it off as a joke.

A couple weeks later, I tried to hit the dirt in my friends car when a plane went supersonic over JBLM.

It is a lot of fun thinking someone is trying to kill you.

This is a Podengo Pequena, about as stubborn a dog as you will meet..
