The Draft is Near - RCF Contract Dynasty League

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If we do it before the 24th, I’m available any day or time since I’m on vacation until then. Anytime after that will depend on time or date, but my work schedule is Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday. All shifts are 12 am to 12 pm Phoenix time.

I’m in and generally pretty flexible with draft dates.

Refresher on cuts before draft — if a player is marked as expiring and we cut them now, do we recoup their full contract value for this years draft or just 2/3 recoup?

If they're expiring after this season, you still have to pay 1/3 of the contract. If they expired at the end of last season but are still on your roster until I do final draft prep, you can cut them now without penalty. Also, any players that have retired or been sent to jail can be cut without penalty too.

You don't actually need to cut anyone yourself, though. So long as you let me know who you want to cut, I'll take care of it when I do the pre-draft process on Sleeper. And as I mentioned in my previous post, I'll be posting everyone's rosters on here in the next couple of days so you can reply and make your cut decisions. There will be a deadline for final cuts, but it won't be until about a day before the draft.

Also note that the cap space number on the spreadsheet does not include the dead cap hit. I'll add an extra row that details the final cap space after dead cap hits once everyone provides me with all their cuts for the season.

The dead cap numbers are the actual cap hit too, not whatever you paid for the player. For example, you'll see a $2 next to Terrace Marshall. That's what I have to pay in penalty, as I paid $6 for him in the start-up auction.

1) Yes on the league fees.

2) Is the penalty for dead cap 1/2 of what you paid?

1/3

As in the example above, I won Terrace Marshall for six bucks in the draft. After cutting him, I'm on the hook for two bucks per year for the duration of the contract, which I believe expires after next season.

I know several of you have already replied, but I'm tagging everyone on RCF.

Those of you who haven't done so already, let me know if you're still in for this year. I'll be updating the cap numbers on the spreadsheet for this season shortly and be posting rosters in the next few days so you guys can provide me with your cuts if you have any.
Still in. Flexible most weekends and free after 8pm for drafts on weeknights.

I'm pretty flexible on dates and times.
