Yea they changed that a few years ago to try and speed up the game after it became so slow due to replays. I think it only stops under 2 minutes whe nyou go out of bounds now. I mean it still stops until the refs spot the ball, kinda like a first down.

Harbaugh kicking that last field goal reminded me of that Browns game against the Cowboys where Romeo Crennel kicked a field goal despite being down at least two touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Terrible decision. If they had gotten the TD there it would be a less than two touchdown lead.
