You so desperately want me to have a stance to argue and I get that. I'm really sorry to disappoint, but I have no coherent explanation. Never said that I did. Why am I not allowed to not know? Just because I'm convinced that the video is fake does not mean I am held accountable for the rationale of it being fake.
I can gladly discuss Israel and Gaza because I have thoughts and opinions and evidence. I will readily admit that I have none of that here. I'd rather plead ignorance (not enough people do that on this board) than start lying out of my teeth to keep the argument flowing. Obviously, that's Foley in the video. I assume he's with ISIS.
The fact that there is not an ounce of blood on video is a red flag. The size of the knife is too. So is the fact that a group so experienced in doing this type of thing is essentially "unprepared" for this video (paraphrasing what you said). They could have filmed him dead after the fact. They could have done a dozen things to show what happened on video if the struggling was indeed what took them to black. They did none of that. The still image at the end is easily shopped.
And how are these forensic experts concluding that he's dead? From the photo? You raise some salient points in regards to the logistics of the situation and I understand your point of view, but in my eyes this looks like a poorly done film class project and I can't get past that. I was hoping to get more takes on who faked it/why it was faked, but if everyone sees the tape as legitimate, then I won't get that here. No big deal. Carry on.
