Cleveland Ohio, 12:13 PM, AP--

Technicians are working feverishly to repair the hoops at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. It seems that pranksters installed a force field which made it nearly impossible for the Cavaliers to sink a shot in game three of the NBA Finals. Shots were clanking off the rim left & right, making it very difficult to score.

Mike Brown, coach of the Cavaliers, said "We tried for 48 minutes to sink a shot. We just couldn't get it done. Our guys feel like we got a better shot once the force field is removed. We're gonna keep trying for another 48 minutes on Thursday. We're not out of this series yet. We just need to get Larry Hughes healthy and get it done."

LeBron James, reached at his new mansion for comment, said "When they get that force field taken off there, I'll bring my A game. I'm gonna win game 4 for the Cavs and all our fans. I love the challenge."

Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas asked reporters, "What is force field? They don't have no force field in Lithuania. When I grew up, all I had was fork and bucket and stool. I come from very poor country, we have no force field. We were lucky if we had two Kopeks to rub together."

Backup center Anderson "Wild Thing" Varejao was particularly upset about the force field. He said, "I tried to make a shot near the end, but the ball just bounced off the rim like it was afraid of the hoop. I've never seen anything like it."

The Cavs managed just 37 percent shooting and made 3-of-19 3-pointers.

Spurs coach Greg Popovich said, "These three games are the best defense we've played all season, back-to-back-to-back. Without a doubt."

TNT commentator Charles Barkley commented, "No wonder the Cavs can't shoot the ball. It's like they got a damn lid on the hoop. I said LeBron wasn't gonna come through when the chips was down, now we got proof. Well, I gotta run, I gotta change my bet over at Caesar's Palace."

Oops I should never make fun of Z--he's a saint in Cleveland. :chuckles:
