This must be what @Lee feels like 1 in every 500 jokes!I just burst into laughter.
My brother-in-law was just in Hilton Head a few weeks ago. Can 100% confirm. In fact, the one restaurant group he and his wife like doesn’t even require masks for servers at their locations. It’s only based upon customer request. Think you may need reservations anywhere you go to eat though.Planning on taking a beach vacation the last week of July, probably to Hilton Head or Charleston.
SC restrictions seem to be pretty relaxed for the most part. Do we have any members on here from SC that can confirm? Thanks!
I've been doing the same the past few days. Yellowstone, Vegas, Rome and Miami are all on my list when this is over. All places I've been but want to revisit ASAP.With the total lack of travel going on, I sit inside daydreaming about trips I might want to take.
I want to hit a National Park like Yosemite or Yellowstone.
Has any ever been to either? What does a week there look like? What age should a child be to enjoy it?
I have been to Yosemite a few times and find it fabulous...Yellowstone and Glacier are on my to do list, for sure! There is a good bit of "wonder" and sense of the spectacular in these parks, so I'd think 5+ could take something away from it for sure, but a mobile 10+ year old would be all the better. These (and so many of the Parks) are true treasures that should be shared! With the total lack of travel going on, I sit inside daydreaming about trips I might want to take.

Yellowstone is absolutely mobbed in peak season. The south half of the park is primarily a driving tour and you're in an infuriating conga line of tour buses and vehicles full of folks from all over the world that have varying degrees of respect for the natural wonders and the other people that are trying to enjoy them. The sights are incredible, the wildlife scampers around like you don't exist, but the crowds nearly wipe out the joy of the experience. This is primarily because every sight is very near the main loop road and highly accessible to anyone. This is true of weekend or midweek in peak season. Off season helps, but doesn't eliminate the issue. With the total lack of travel going on, I sit inside daydreaming about trips I might want to take.

Might try and go to Hawaii for Christmas this year. We were originally going to do Christmas on the beach with my in-laws in Texas this past year, but COVID hit my family particularly hard at that moment, and we got spooked into staying put.
Also thinking about a long trip to Japan sometime next year, probably a few weeks to a month. I'm not in love with my job, but I am in love with pretty much full work from home and an unlimited PTO bank.
If you do go Caribbean, I'll suggest an overlooked gem: the tiny nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. It's two separate islands to the ESE of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. We honeymooned there several years ago and had a wonderful time.we are both also wanting to do something drastic for Christmas this year; thinking either Hawaii or Jamaica/st Thomas
Planning a trip to Scotland this summer assuming we're allowed to travel internationally by then. Want to see some of the major distilleries and also the general sights. My parents went there a few years ago and it looks gorgeous.
I did 3 days in Edinburgh back in Nov 19'. Prob my favorite city ever. The architecture throughout the city is simply stunning. This restaurant was highly recommended by many people. I think you might enjoy the whiskey list: https://devilsadvocateedinburgh.co.uk/
If you have time, check out Princes Street Garden for a quick walk. You're below the castle and the views are incredible.
