The Cats put you to sleep with how they play. Not a good matchup for OSU... ever. We weren't very focused it seemed either. How do you get up for a big ten tourney game against Northwestern when it really doesn't matter if you win or lose? A loss would have simply got us a #1 seed anyway, but not the #1 overall seed. To some teams the conference tourneys mean almost nothing. IE: OSU. To other teams these games mean almost everything.
I couldn't get excited by this game. Heck, it just didn't matter to me whether we won or lost. Because Matta is such a dick by playing players the ENTIRE game with NO bench time, we might have been better off... and much better rested if we had lost today.
I don't get the mindset of taking out Lauderdale after about 5 minutes of court time, and then not putting him back in AT ALL. Why the hell not sit down Sully for even a few minutes? It makes no sense. Thomas maybe played a few minutes also. I just don't get it. Matta knew he had to play tomorrow if he won, so why play these kids the full game? It's baffling.

Purdue got blown out by Michigan State. They just didn't want to play all these games this weekend. Don't blame them. They don't risk injuries either now. That's the one thing that concerns me in this tournament. If OSU has just one key player like Craft or Sullinger to sprain an ankle bad enough to miss next week or more, the Bucks are screwed. And for what? To win this silly big ten tourney? Not worth it IMO.
