Treo 650 vs Motorola Q

I want to buy a PDA...my girlfriend just got the Motorola Q, it's not a bad phone. Pretty simple to use, no touch screen, but it is windows based.

The Treo might be the better phone over all, touch screen, but it is Palm based.

I dont know how much of a difference the Windows vs Palm makes in a phone, but I trust Windows. My sister has the Q as well, she's had it for a while and as far as I know, not many problems.

My boy has the Treo and he loves it...Ive used it personally a lot on the road on basketball games so I know the Internet is ok on it, I dont think it is as fast as the Q, but unless they are side by side, I can't really compare.

I can get the Treo on Ebay for about $150, while the Q is running me around $200 for a very used one.

Has anybody had any use with either two of these phones?

I have the Treo 680 and am very impressed.

The touch screen is the reason I choose the Treo over the Q and the overall shape and button locations.

You also have over 20 minutes of video recording in case some home vids are in the plan.

I think the 650 only has three minutes...Ill have to double check that. What phone service do you have.

The 650 has the antenna knob doesnt it? Everybody that I have talked to hated that antenna and preferred the new 680 much more.

That doesnt really bother me much..I got a couple days to decide, so Im still up in the air..

Eh, if you're going to outlay 150 for the 650, it might be worth spending a bit more cash and getting the 700(newer model).

A little bit more cash is another $150...I also heard that the 700 has a lot of bugs and the 650 is the better model.

Yeah I've heard that as well mac about the 700 and 650. I have friends who have both and they both love em. I say just go play with both of them at phone store and decide.
