He should work on his mid range all summer. him being a threat from there might make the Cavs that much better.
The spacing with him, especially when players get into the lane is just abysmal and makes it very hard to score when his player leaves him completely to help out.
Ehh...I really don't even want him worrying about making 15 footers.
I'd rather him simply work on his body more(he's become an absolute beast physically...I'm sure there's ways to improve).
I'd really like for him to work on, specifically, his upper body strength. (I'm not saying it's weak...but I think it can get better).
I'd also like for him to work on his quick jumping in succession. He's already one of the quickest in the league at it(helps him get OREBS a lot). But I think he could improve and get a lot more easy tip-ins rather than just OREBS.
And as for basketball, I want him to use that added upper body strength to help him with catching the ball, immediately rising up, going STRONG to the rim, and finishing. Work on it in many different facets, try to get as quick and smooth and natural of a motion as possible. He's got pretty good hands. If he is quicker, more decisive, stronger, and more explosive to the rim, Tristan could EASILY average a double double. Especially with Kyrie's improved play-making...I could see Tristan easily going from 8/9 to 12-13/10.
Also, let's try to up the FT's to the mid 60's low 70's next year. If he can shoot 75% from the line he can shoot 1 corner three a game.
Defensively I just need him to become a better weak side help-defender. There's no reason he can't be just as good, just as tough, just as tenacious as a guy like Draymond is inside. Honestly he can be even better than that because of his hops and natural shot-blocking abilities. Don't get me wrong, Tristan is VERY good in this area. Even better in the playoffs. But Draymond is flat-out tenacious. He's a monster. Tristan can get there. Tristan could absolutely make an all-defense team or even be a DPOTY candidate if he improves in this area. He's already a very very good pick&roll defender, good isolation defender, great at switching onto guards. He can improve as a post defender a little bit too even though nobody posts up anymore. He's not bad in the post, but he tends to get duped by reverse spin moves pretty easily because he overplays a guys strong side.
