Unbelievable. Of course Dwight is always reported as hitting 3s in practice as well.
I don't care if he can hit 3s, but an 18 footer would put him on a whole nother level.
That is obvious, just unlikely. I wish he'd never miss a shot, then he'd be the best player ever.
And adding a 3-pt game wouldn't? Tristan would then be a shoo-in for the All-star game.
Yeah, let's not get carried away here.
When guys like Bosh and Stoudemire "added a 3-pt game," I liked it much better as an opposing fan when they'd drift out and shoot those shots instead of looking for opportunities to get inside for higher percentage shots.
Of course, I'm also obliged to say "let's not get carried away here" with Tristan in the hope that he comes back after next summer draining about half his attempted threes using only his left foot.
So basically the point trying to be made here would be that gaining a 3 point shot would have a negative impact on Tristan's game?...
Wut. :chuckles:
I can understand the logic. If Tristan "gains" a 3pt shot (meaning he can hit it) and as a result is drawn from the paint and efficient baskets/rebounds more often, this is a probably a bad thing.
If Tristan GAINS a 3pt shot (meaning ~35% or more efficient than his inside game) it clearly would be a benefit to his game and the Cavs.
In reality, this is a preposterous hypothetical, because Tristan most likely won't extend his range to the NBA 3pt. And I'm a huge TT fan. We should be talking about his 18 footer. THAT would be a great tool to add to the kit.
