Well folks it's the home opener and we get our first look at Kevin Millwood's replacement in Paul Byrd, when he squares off with Kyle Lohse.
CLE: RHP Paul Byrd (12-11, 3.74 ERA in 2005)
A veteran with playoff success under his belt, the newly acquired Byrd will be counted on to provide leadership similar to what Kevin Millwood gave the club last season. Byrd had the 15th lowest ERA among league qualifiers last season, and his 22 quality starts ranked second in the AL behind Johan Santana's 24.
MIN: RHP Kyle Lohse (9-13, 4.18 ERA in 2005)
One of the few question marks on the Minnesota pitching staff, many are wondering if this will be the breakout season for Lohse. After winning back-to-back arbitration cases despite going 9-13 with over a 4.00 ERA the past two seasons, the expectations for the pitcher are pretty high. It won't be an easy first test pitching at Jacobs Field, where Lohse has a 2-5 record and 6.69 ERA.
The second game will be Scott Baker vs Jason Johnson, and the final game will be Johan Santana vs Jake Westbrook. :thumbdown

I think the Tribe will take the first 2 and get tripped up by Johan to improve to 4-2 on the year. I'm hoping we can secure the first two so a likely loss to Santana won't hurt so bad. GO TRIBE HOME OPENER!!!
