Re: Urban Meyer Just Asked Live About OSU
Well said, agreed 100 percent.
Been there, done that. I'm in the process of writing a book, but, I remember well when it was seen the cocaine was "the perfect drug". Back in the late 70's, early 80's ..it was seen as an enhancer with no real downside. Some coaches looked the other way when they knew players were using, because they were doing the same. I rode that rollercoaster in my life .. Len Bias woke the world up though..to the reality.
Coaching is such a high demand, high emotion, long hour career. 30 years of my life flew by in a blink being caught in the whirlwind. It costs many marraiges, has lead to many addictions, and isn't the career for those that don't absolutely love it with all their heart and soul.
Many many many know exactly where Urban Meyer is, and has been.. weighing the love for his life and family vs. the costs and the toll it takes on his health and the wellbeing of his family. Coach K dealt with it for a period as well ..same things. I relate completely.
