In someone surprising news, Stan Van Gundy is out as coach of the heat. Despite his previously insisting he wouldn't force Van Gundy out to take over, Pat Riley apparently is doing just that.

Most Heat fans are happy about this development. While most were grateful for the job Van Gundy did, there was the sentiment that until Riley came back, the team wouldn't take the step from annual contender to bonda fide winner.
