Very nice to see this win for a couple reasons. 1) the cavs win a close one, even executing a bit on the offensive half court sets. 2) this is a win against a quality team 3) it gets us out of a slump before a 3 game west coast road trip 4) it was good to play from behind. The Cavs seem pretty good about keeping a 16 point lead, but when they get behind they seem to force things.
Sasha got the nod over luke early, but failed to get anything going really. All he did was get burned on the defensive end and then lose the ball on the offensive end. I'd like to see Sasha get play ing at least 3 more games to see what he can do out there. He needs to get into the flow of things, though in a game like this is would be tough to give him time. Luke got some time too, but he also didn't do much.
Good call by Mike Brown to bring in Henderson to take Brand. Brand was just absolutelty killer on Gooden in the 3rd quarter. I don't think Henderson was really that much more effective, but for some reason, they stopped giving it to Brand.
Magette in foul trouble was key. If this guy played normal minutes, I think the game would have been over before overtime.
Z came in big. He drew a ton of fouls, played well inside too. He absolutely destroyed both Kaman and Wilcox. Also, Z hit his free throws, and every bit counted tonight.
Marshall is a clutch guy. I mean, he goes pretty much the whole night without hitting anything then comes up huge in the 4th with a game tying 3 point play. In OT he hits a couple 3's that take the fuel out of the Clippers. I hope that gets Marshall's stroke back. Damon is also producing off the bench, so hopefully our bench scoring will be back up to where it was a few games ago.
Snow continues to hit about 50% on wide open mid range jumpers, 90% of his scoring seems to come off Lebron James assists.
Gooden had a good first half, but Brand was just too much on fire to keep Drew in there. How good is that Henderson signing looking now?
