Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Wow, Jones talked to the refs and they actually seemed to change a call. First time i've seen talking to an official work

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

This team is a very different one at home. This is an owning.

A solid start to the second half is what we need to kill off any thoughts of a Seattle comeback.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Hope Damon is okay. Maybe he just hit his funny bone. The sore is 65-43 at the half.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Up 22 at the half. Wonderful effort.

James, Hughes and Snow the pick of a very balanced effort.

Gooden, Marshall, Ilgauskas, Jones and Henderson all contributed to this massive break.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

did anyone else think snow looked like parker driving to the hole with ease? Very happy to see snow having a better offensive night.

Good effort on both the offensive and defensive sides. Seattle went 4-16 from the 3pt line. Lets get back out there in the second half and have a good sturdy second half.

Also larry hughes shooting over 50% at the half. Good to see.

And one more thing. We are 19 for 19 at the free throw line. That is very good.

Yeah I haven't bothered to post because we are all seeing why we are beating Seattle. Their biggest threat to us in Rashard Lewis yes I said that because if you play close D on Allen at the 3 line he is worthless. Rashard is a 3 man and a slasher, after he left the game it was basically over any chance they had to win it caput. Lebron and Larry are basically taking these guys to town. No need for Z the 2nd half just let him rest his knee up keeping Z fresh is very important.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Snow definately looks a bit sharper then last season. He may not have his old quickness of 4-5 yeras back, but he is smart enough to overcome this.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Hopefully the forth quarter will have a lot of Luke, Sasha, Wilks, and company. We could use some rest for the starters for our Friday night revenge party with Memphis.

I can hardly wait until this group actually knows what its doing as a team (on both ends of the court). Once these guys are actually comfortable with the system (offensively and defensively) this is going to be a hell of a good team. I'm still sticking with my original prediction of 52 Wins.

Allen is a very versatile scorer, not just a 3 point threat. He works very hard with and off the ball to get good looks at various spots of the offensive end.

This is the perfect opportunityy to allow Z some timeout, and allow Gooden some more chances to be an option in the paint. Z will be needed for big minutes in certain matchups, so some rest will be a godsend at any stage of this season.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

No reason to back down from your predictions, AC. We all figured they'd get off to a 'slow' start and keep getting better. And we still have 78 games to finish, including this one.

Two observations/questions:

Is it me or is Eric Snow trying to penetrate more in this game than in the previous 4?

A recent trend, even in the loss to Memphis: we aren't as sharp defensively in the first quarter and then adjust, lock down in the 2nd quarter. Seattle with 26 points in 1st, 17 in the 2nd.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

The only reason they had 26 in th efirst was that we were scoring so easily, they got a lot of reps..

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Cavs up 21. Glad they aren't totally coasting right now.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Offense is a bit ugly, but we have prevented a major run thus far!

Its Allen vs the Cavaliers.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Cavalier's a little sloppy, but we are hustling and making every offensive play by Seattle a tough one. Ilgauskas and Gooden are holding the fort well inside.

Re: Sonics @ Cavaliers

Other good news is that nearly all the West vs East games are in favour of the Western conference teams which is all good for Cleveland.
