The conditions were similar all over the Eastern US and that affected many games, including Eagles - Patriots. Jalen Hurts was much worse than Watson but it's hard to play well in heavy rain.

yeah, as an Eagles fan who watched both games.... the Eagles offense looked ridiculously vanilla after that first drive, and while Jalen came out with decent stats, it was below his usual caliber of play. That fumble had me praying the Eagles won that game because I didn't want to hear that SB slander.

Watson was much more effective, esp. in the second half, even though it was clear something was off with his mechanics (underthrowing, dirt balls).
