Week 12 - Browns (4-7) v. Texans (1-9-1) The New Beginning

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If I was a betting man I'd bet that Cinci is going to blow us off the field next week, based on everything I've seen as of today. So everything else will become a moot point, and all the people who wanted to flush this season will get their wish.

Unless The Dr. Jekyll version of the Browns shows up that always beats the Bengals? How likely is this? (Not very IMO). I guess we'll see how Cinci does against KC.

Jets lost so that's good, Ravens pulled one out against the hapless Broncos so that's bad.

I'm at the point where if we lose next week I'll feel like a stake has been driven through the heart of this vampire of a season.

Patriots and Jets lose. Ravens win.

Root for the Chiefs and Raiders this afternoon.
I am drinking this poison now...
Bengals are up 7 to 0 and they are 12 - 0 when leading after the first, yikes...

Everyone before the game: Can’t wait to see Watson!

Nobody before the game: Look forward to seeing Watson on a short leash! Expecting him to look crappy!

Some people: Jesus. Wasn’t expecting him to look THAT bad. Especially on that short a leash.

Other people: We knew he was gonna look like shit! Was to be expected!

GTFO. Nobody expected him to be on that short of a leash or to be that bad.

One would hope he will be fine, but the leash was awfully short and our shiny new toy was disappointing. You guys didn’t expect what you saw. Stop.

I expected more. Having said that, I am happy with the outcome. He is definitely rusty throwing the ball and with timing. But he also ran the ball well, escaped the blitz and took some hits.

Overall, I’m happy with the win and the step forward today.

I won't say it's not possible. They're playing pretty good.

But Deshaun will likely play better. Not only was it his first game back, it was IN HOUSTON with some of his accusers present. I'm sure it was a circus in his head and I could see that being his worst performance of the season.

Additionally, the o-line was putrid today. It tends to do better against Cincinnati, which should make things easier for Deshaun as well as our running game. Cinci might beat us but I think we'll perform better next week.

Isn’t that the Mr Hyde version?

700 days later I'm not sure what yall wanted from Watson in game 1 in the middle of the season.

Be Happy the D showed up.

If The D didnt show up, he wouldnt have been suspended 11 games.

OK, i said i was done, but that one was jus there for the taking.

Guilty as charged. I expected Watson to look better, AND I expected Stefanski to give him more leash. Fail on both counts.

I had to think about it. Dr. Jekyll was the "good" version. Mr. Hyde was the mutant version. So I guess it depends on which one you think can win a football game? Could be seen either way.

Nobody wanted this :chuckle:

Oh, I've been ridiculed in game threads for having the audacity to even speculate that we could still have a power ball ticket's chance of squeaking into the playoffs.
